Vote for girlpower: Best Supp. Actress and Best Female Character in a Drama!?

They don’t play most of the important parts in drama serials, but when they do, they don’t disappoint. Besides the strong roles as protagonists of their ensembles, the supporting actresses are still strong, and even though the absence of Big Love hurts the awards with female participation, there are always new girls with power.

To conclude the drama awards, the best written female charater in a drama serial starts its voting. Not only the characters of supporting actresses, but also the characters of female protagonists can be selected in this poll.

Remember: the season finished in the summer of 2012. The newer season of for example Boardwalk Empire or Breaking Bad will be considered in the Serieskiller Awards 2013!

Serieskiller TV #11

(c) Showtime

It’s time for the spring edition of serial land. Besides Game of Thrones, The Borgias, Magic City and others, Shameless starts its third season on January 13th.

New Voting: Best (male) Supporting Actor in a Drama!

It is a big voting, but worth the while. Vote for the best acting of a male actor in a drama serial of season 2011/2012! Remember: that season finished in the summer of 2012. The newer season of for example Boardwalk Empire or Breaking Bad will be considered in the Serieskiller Awards 2013!

Serieskiller TV #10

(c) FX

Now it is the FX Networks, which takes a bite out of the undercover agent and political homelandesk style pie. After passing Homeland along and losing a hit to Showtime, FX now tries to catch up not only with Tyrant -the kind of anti-clone of Homeland- but also with The Americans, featured in this episode of Serieskiller TV.
Well, three of a kind are more than enough. Just when I thought FX rises to the top, they struggle, because the chose uninspired ideas…

Serieskiller TV #9

(c) A&E
Based on the “Psycho” franchise A&E tries to get their feet into the serial business.

(c) Cinemax
Debuting in January of 2013, Alan Ball (former showrunner of Six Feet Under and True Blood) brings “Banshee” into play. Some may say, that the move from HBO to HBO’s little sister “CineMAX” was risky, but risky also means more creative possibilities and in this case less pressure.
